Birth & Beyond

This package is for women who want continuity of care across pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum weeks. It combines birth education, personalised preparation, continuous labour support, and postpartum planning and care. It is ideal for families wanting both practical and emotional support through the realities of modern maternity care, while still being nourished and supported as they settle into life with a new baby.

Inclusions:

Birth Education

Birth education is provided through a two-day course with Belly, Birth & Bubs and is required for all birth support clients. This gives you and your partner a strong foundation in birth physiology, common interventions, hypnobirthing skills, and practical tools for labour.

4 Prenatal Sessions

Session 1 - Building Resilience

This session is about getting to know you, your story, and what you may need to feel safe and supported in birth. We explore how you respond under pressure, what helps you trust yourself, and what may come up for you when birth asks for surrender, courage, and vulnerability.

Session 2 - Birth Map

In this session, we create your Birth Map. This helps you understand the different pathways birth may take, communicate clearly with your care providers, and make informed decisions if things change. We look at your preferences, your care setting, common interventions, consent, communication, and how you want to be supported through different possibilities.

Session 3 - For your third prenatal session, you can choose what feels most helpful for your preparation.

  1. I can attend a key maternity care appointment if you’d like support in that space.

  2. Or we can have a practical birth skills session.

Session 4 - Postpartum Planning

In this session, we draw on both traditional and modern postpartum practices to understand the kind of care a newborn mother actually needs. Together, we explore ways to support oxytocin in the first few days, plan nourishing meals and snacks, set up a meal train or support roster, cope with sleep deprivation, protect recovery, work with your partner, build your village, access local resources, and understand the realities of life with a newborn. If useful, we can also use part of this session to cook or prepare postpartum food together.

From 37 weeks, I am officially on call for your birth!

Continuous Birth Support

When labour begins, I am there to support you and your partner through the intensity, decisions, and practical reality of birth. This may include support at home in early labour, helping you decide when to move to your birth location, creating a calm birth space, and supporting you with movement, positioning, breath, massage, acupressure, birth fabric, visualisation, affirmations, aromatherapy, and other comfort measures.

I also help with the practical things that make a real difference, such as snacks, hydration, communication with staff, supporting your partner, and helping you stay connected to the birth experience you have prepared for.

3 Postpartum Sessions

After your baby is born, this package includes 3 postpartum visits, each lasting 2 hours. These visits are intended for use within the first six weeks after birth.

Each visit begins with a warm postpartum drink and a mother-centred check-in to see what is happening for you that day. We will talk about how you are feeling, your recovery, and what kind of care would feel most helpful.

My visits include a nourishing homemade meal and a snack for your family, along with a warm postpartum drink. They may also include gentle bodywork such as a foot soak, shoulder rub, neck massage, or warm compress; feeding and newborn care support; help with understanding your baby’s cues; and light practical help around the home, such as dishes, laundry, tidying, or resetting your space.

Nourishing Meals & Snacks

The food I prepare is made with locally sourced, organic ingredients wherever possible, including grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, seasonal produce, and whole foods chosen to support postpartum recovery. All meals are tailored to your family’s dietary requirements, and I do my best to align flavours with your preferences.

Birth Tools and Resources

You will have access to practical birth tools and resources to support comfort and atmosphere during labour, including birth combs, birth orbs, acupressure seeds, birth fabric, aromatherapy, diffuser, fairy lights, battery-operated candles, affirmation cards, and the use of an Elle TENS machine.

You will also have access to my growing library of books and virtual resources as you prepare for birth.

Anetnatal Expressing

I can help you understand antenatal expressing and how to prepare to safely express and store colostrum before your baby is born.

Referral Support

I can connect you with trusted local supports, including women’s health physiotherapy, osteopathy, lactation support, naturopathy, massage therapy, perinatal psychology, postpartum meal services, and other practitioners who may support your wellbeing and recovery.

Ongoing Phone & Text Support

Between sessions, you can reach out with questions, reflections, decisions, or anything you want to talk through as it comes up.
