Empowered mothers raise empowered children, and it all begins with the birth experience.
Welcome, I’m Ashleigh.
I support women and their families through pregnancy, birth and early postpartum, with preparation that helps you understand your options, feel confident in your decisions and prepare for the conversations and choices that can arise in modern maternity care. I provide continuous support through labour and birth, advocacy alongside you when you need it, and practical, nurturing care after your baby arrives.
Whether you’re planning to birth at home, in a birth centre or in hospital, and whether this is your first baby or you’ve done this before, my role is to support you in preparing for the birth you want, making informed choices and feeling well supported throughout the experience.
What you can expect from doula support.
There is a lot to consider when preparing for birth, from understanding your options to thinking through the decisions and conversations you may face. We work through what matters to you so your preferences are informed, considered and reflect the birth you want.
Advocacy is also a big part of my support. I help you prepare to ask questions, communicate your preferences and make informed decisions about your care. And when you’re in labour, tired or vulnerable, I advocate alongside you, helping keep your voice and wishes at the centre of conversations with your care team.
Support looks different for every woman, but to give you an idea of what working together includes, here’s an overview of my birth support:
4 in-depth prenatal sessions tailored to your needs
Attendance at a key maternity care appointment
Access to an Elle TENS machine, birth sling and other birth tools
On-call support from 37 weeks until your baby arrives
Continuous physical, emotional, and advocacy support during labour & birth
2 in-home postpartum sessions
Access to a library of trusted resources

Hey, I’m Ash.
Founder of Redland Doula Co, hip squeezer extraordinaire, and I'm so glad we've found each other!
My journey into the world of birth, babies and early motherhood began in 2021, when I welcomed my son. My own experiences of pregnancy and birth, including planning and achieving a VBAC, sparked a passion for supporting other women through this incredible and transformative time. I launched Redland Doula Co in 2025, and since then, I've had the privilege of supporting families as they prepare for positive and empowering birth experiences.
While I believe birth is a normal, physiological process, the reality is that we're navigating a maternity system where interventions are increasingly common, continuity of care can be difficult to access, and women don't always receive the time, information or individualised support they deserve. That's why I started Redland Doula Co. I wanted to offer something more personal, where women and their families feel supported, informed and involved in their care.
Maybe you've got that niggling feeling that something's missing from your antenatal or postpartum care. You KNOW you want more from your birth experience than just getting through it. Perhaps you're preparing for your first baby, hoping for a different experience this time around, or wanting to enter motherhood feeling more confident, supported and prepared.
Whatever has brought you here, I'd love to walk alongside you. To help you understand your options, build confidence in your decisions and prepare for birth and postpartum in a way that feels right for you and your family.
Kind words from the women and families I’ve had the privilege to support.
My husband and I both agreed that having Ashleigh there made such a difference to our birth experience. Throughout pregnancy, the education, conversations and resources she shared completely shifted the way I thought about birth. When labour came, I was so much more prepared for how intense it would be. Ashleigh kept bringing me back to the tools we had practiced, reminding me to breathe, move and change positions. Having her there to guide me back to those tools made an enormous difference and helped me feel much more capable of getting through each stage of labour.

Ashleigh was warm and easy to be around from our first session, but what stood out most was how much knowledge she brought to our preparation. She helped us understand what we might actually experience in hospital and prepared us for some of the conversations that could come up around our circumstances. That made a real difference to how confident I felt going into birth. During labour, she was very intuitive about what I needed and helped me keep using the tools we had worked on beforehand. We were both so glad she was there.
— Kate F.
Ashleigh supported me and my partner, and we felt comfortable with her from the beginning. We went into birth feeling far more prepared for the hospital environment and the decisions that might come up along the way. We really appreciated the books, resources and practical information she shared with us, as well as all the thoughtful little touches throughout our time together. It always felt like she had taken the time to really understand us and what mattered to us. We’re both incredibly grateful for the care and support she gave our family and so glad we had her with us through such an important time.
